The river and its ecosystem are privileged places to learn about the territory and nature. Learn on the field the dynamics of water, the world of flora and fauna, but also the spirit of teamwork and collaboration. Through the correct integration, this activity can well combine sport, personal and social skills, as well as the emotional aspects of being in nature, producing a new environmental spirit.

The total immersion in nature can favour activities of environmental literacy. To raise awareness of the river and flood context, to make known these aspects of the river:
  • Ecosystem information
  • The dinamic of water
  • Sustainability of the river
  • Human intervention

Activities to develop

THE EMOTIONAL CONNECTION WITH NATURE

Encourage a new way to being in nature through the sensory education. This process stimulates responsibility, trust, inner Balance, and promoting new perception and listening skills. Include in your activity, proposals such as:
  • Woodwalking
  • Learn the main signs of Nature (colours, sounds, smells, risks)
  • Active listening of Nature sounds (relaxing time after walking)

This activity introduces a reflection about our connection with nature. In practical terms, it questions the sensorial parameters that we have learned and teaches us, through practice, a new way of feeling and relating to the web of life.
