GREENTRACE Meeting in Budapest

Friday, 4 October 2024, fourth meeting of the GREENTRACE project hosted by Budapest Association for International Sports, Hungary

The last transnational meeting of the GREENTRACE project took place in the elegant setting of the City Park Ice Rink and Boating in Budapest, hosted by the Budapest Association for International Sports. The meeting between the partners was very productive and the ideas that emerged and were discussed will allow us to better develop the next activities. In fact, the project will continue with the testing phase of environmentally sustainable outdoor sports activities developed by our youth workers. The youth workers, guided by their trainers, have an important challenge ahead of them: to promote sustainable behaviour among young people by engaging them in games and outdoor activities on a journey towards environmental awareness. The ultimate goal is for these young participants to become promoters of a more sustainable approach that can also involve other young people of their age.

On 5 October, the BAIS team gathered on Gellért Hill for a meaningful trash picking hike, contributing to a cleaner and greener Budapest. As part of the GREENTRACE project, we hiked while collecting litter, enjoying the beautiful views and promoting sustainability.
