GREENTRACE Multiplier Event in Italy: Youth Workers Explore Outdoor Education for Sustainability
14 Apr 2025
On Sunday, 13 April, CUS Padova hosted a dissemination event to present the results of the GREENTRACE project, bringing together 64 youth workers for a morning of exchange, reflection and learning.
The event focused on sharing the outcomes achieved over the two years of the project, with particular attention to the GREENTRACE educational method and the outdoor activities that were designed, tested and refined through international cooperation. The methodology, developed and piloted by the project partners, is based on experiential learning and multidisciplinary connections, using outdoor sport as a way to promote environmental awareness, critical thinking, teamwork and positive leadership among young people.
During the event, youth workers from CUS Padova – trained within the framework of the project – presented their experience of applying the method with students from Liceo Marchesi in Padova. The activities combined movement, play and reflection on environmental themes, offering an innovative approach to education that integrates both formal and informal learning dimensions.
The final project meeting will take place in Lithuania at the end of the month, where all partner organisations will gather to share the final results and celebrate two years of collaboration, experimentation, and engagement with youth.
