GREENTRACE is a project funded by the Erasmus+ Programme - Cooperation partnerships in Youth

Main Goal

Develop new approaches of active outdoor education, to promote green awareness and to embed sustainable behaviours among young people.

Specific objectives

a

Support a sport-sustainability strategy, combining a new outdoor education with active approaches in different European territorial contexts

b

Enhance the competencies of youth workers and other operators working with youth, through the development of new designs of sustainable learning in multidisciplinary contexts

c

Improve the effectiveness of new approaches in sustainability education developing new assessment systems in the context of non-formal/informal learning

d

Create an innovative method of sustainable education applicable in different learning contexts

e

Increase youth leaders’ ability to foster the inclination of young people to explore as a method of participation, connecting youth to territories and communities

Sustainability Analysis Report: study concerning sustainability learning in the frame of a new methodology based on sport, youth participation and exploration

Final Methodology Report + Interactive Handbook for youth workers: providing effective methods of sustainability education through sport, active learning and outdoor education

Workshops for Youth Workers containing the Assessment Tools to evaluate the impact of the new approaches developed and the skills’ certification system

Activity Cards developed and tested by Youth Workers to stimulate young people’s sustainability skills and transversal competences through outdoor motor activities

Two-level Portfolio of Competences for young people: certifying youth participation in the territories and their engagement in new sustainable behaviours
